Speed & Performance Optimization
Make your site load faster and rank higher. Real numbers, not vibes.
Most slow WordPress sites are slow for the same reasons: too many plugins, unoptimized images, no caching strategy, blocking JavaScript in the head. We profile your site, find the actual bottlenecks, and fix them in priority order.
We measure before, during, and after — and we send you the numbers each week.
What you get
-
Core Web Vitals audit
LCP, INP, CLS, TBT measured against your industry baseline. Real-user data via CrUX where available.
-
Image pipeline
WebP/AVIF conversion, responsive srcset, lazy loading, dimensions for CLS. CDN config if needed.
-
Render-blocking sweep
Kill blocking CSS/JS in the head. Critical-path CSS inlined where it earns its keep.
-
Plugin audit
We cut what you do not need and replace heavy plugins with lighter alternatives or custom code.
-
Caching strategy
Page cache, object cache, opcode cache. Tuned for your traffic pattern, not a generic preset.
-
CI performance budgets
Lighthouse + custom metrics enforced in CI so regressions get caught before they ship.
How we work
-
Audit — week 1
Full performance audit with prioritized fix list and projected impact. You can stop here if you just want the report.
-
Quick wins — week 2
The 80/20 fixes — image pipeline, caching, plugin trim — get shipped first. Most sites see meaningful improvement here.
-
Deeper work — weeks 3–4
Code-level optimizations: render-blocking, layout shift, third-party scripts, custom CSS/JS. Where the longer-tail wins live.
-
Lock it in — ongoing
Performance budgets in CI + monthly check-ins so a future plugin install does not undo the work.
Common questions
-
Will this break anything on my site?
No. We work in a staging environment, test exhaustively, and ship to production only after sign-off. We keep a rollback path for every change.
-
How much improvement should I expect?
For a typical neglected WordPress site we usually halve LCP and lift Lighthouse score by 20–40 points. We give a realistic projection at the end of the audit.
-
Do you also work on non-WordPress sites?
Yes. WordPress is our specialty but the core work — image pipeline, render-blocking, caching — applies to any site.
